I thought that there weren’t a lot of birds here in London, but when we’re strolling along the river, for the first time here (Thames river, of course, what else could be the name of a river in London?) turned out that there are hundreds of them! Gooses, seagulls, ducks were joyfully swimming in the muddy water, flying and searching food. I’m still puzzled that a goose, for example, is an ordinary city bird here, like a pigeon in Russia. People were even feeding them.
It was one of the first sunny days (it’s Canada after all) and we finally saw people on the streets – riding bicycles or walking dogs. Usually I’d rather choose a quite place but even for me it was nice to observe some activity.
